Dat Jerk – A Flavor-Packed Island Escape in Columbia
Tucked away in Columbia, Dat Jerk is more than just a restaurant—it’s a vibrant, mouthwatering journey straight to the Caribbean. From the moment we walked in, the place radiated a clean, welcoming vibe that matched the freshness of every bite we took.
I went with the Brown Stew Bowl with my choice of sides; rice and peas and cabbage, and it was an instant win. The stew was rich and deeply flavorful, with tender, slow-cooked meat that fell apart with a nudge of the fork. What really stood out, though, were the fresh carrots and corn layered on top—bright, crisp, and clearly prepared with care. The bowl balanced comfort with brightness in a way that felt both hearty and healthy.
My wife ordered the Tropical Chicken Salad, and I had more than a few bites (for research purposes, of course). The chicken was juicy and spiced just right, resting atop a bed of fresh greens, crunchy cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes and corn that added a perfect touch of island flair. Every component was fresh and thoughtfully assembled—not your average salad by a long shot.
Service was fast, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. You can tell Dat Jerk takes pride in their ingredients—nothing felt overly processed or thrown together. Just clean, bold Caribbean flavor in every bite.

Seymour the district manager happened to be on site and gave us the inside scoop on all of their locations what’s on the horizon (Columbia location has a liquor license drinks to follow soon!) and confirmed EVERYTHING is made in house including the sauces!!
